NSW Transition Assistance Program
Welcome to the NSW Transition Assistance Program Home Page
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) was first established in March 2016 as a new $5million grants program to assist disability support providers to transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). TAP is funded by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) and delivered by Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA) (Formerly, Aged and Community Services NSW & ACT).
Transition Assistance Program – Funding Round 1
An initial TAP funding round was run in early 2016 with 152 applications received. In May 2016 after a competitive application process, 131 applications were recommended for funding; representing 137 disability service providers.
More information on TAP Funding Round 1 can be found here.

Transition Assistance Program – Funding Round 2 (TAP2)
The funding allocation under the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) initial funding round was not fully expended and consequently this has enabled a second round of funding to be announced. As the NDIS has now commenced, TAP2 funding round will focuses on growing the disability market in NSW through projects that promote service expansion and conversion. A total pool of $600,000 has been identified for allocation under TAP2 with eligible organisations that have transitioned to the NDIS able to apply for up to $15,000 in grant funding.
